Christian Democratic Movement (Kresťanskodemokratické hnutie; KDH) was
founded in 1990. Having participated in Slovakian governments 1990-1992 and
1998-2006, the party has maintained the elected representation in national
parliament until 2016, while it has been permanently represented in the European
Parliament since 2004. It is a member of the European People's Party and an
observer in the Centrist Democrat International.

The party flag is charged with the logo in red and blue on white field. The logo
consists of a red voided semicircle, combined with a blue cross-bar and within a
blue ring, accompanied by the party name initials KDH, also in blue. The
combination of semicircle and cross-bar also looks like the combination of a
letter D and a cross. The flag photos reveal that the shades of red and blue are
those of the national flag, with which the party flag is typically hoisted
together, or a bit lighter; both flags are typically accompanied with the
European flag as well.
